Kate Beckinsale Instagram – People of LA- @ursulascostumes on Wilshire which has been a Hollywood landmark for 30 years is closing. I myself have been a regular visitor for 20 of those 30 years whether for Halloween costumes for my little child or general fun – or just to explore the Aladdin’s Cave of handmade costumes ranging from Southern Belles to carrots to French fries -a massive room of animal costumes, princess dresses, literally my actual dream.
Ursula can no longer afford the rent to keep it open and is selling all these incredible costumes ,a great deal of which she made herself. I truly love Ursula. She has allowed me to play and laugh and facilitated so many fun and important experiences with my family – and this tiny German dynamo who is so immensely talented deserves so much more than online shopping ruining her business.
Having said that -all of the costumes are now available for purchase and I would urge anyone who values their inner child and also would like to help keep someone who has kept the fun in Hollywood for so many people afloat- please go to the store and buy yourself a mouse costume or a flapper dress or a Viking outfit or whatever takes your fancy ..it will help her immensely and you will get to claim a part of Hollywood history.
