Kate Pang Instagram – It’s been over two decades since I last attended the National Day Parade. The last time I was here, I was part of the secondary school Boys’ Brigade contingent. Today, I’m blessed to be seated beside my wonderful wife, daughter, and my son, who has just turned 10.
My journey to become the best actor I can be has led me to Taiwan. While I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities and warm acceptance I’ve received there, I sometimes still feel the pang of loneliness that comes with being away from home.
Sitting here at the Padang, amidst 27,000 fellow Singaporeans, I found myself overcome with emotion, holding back tears multiple times during the parade.
Thank you, Singapore, for giving me the unwavering confidence that I‘ll always have a place to call home. I’ll always cherish your achievements, your aspirations, and even your imperfections.
I’ll leave you with a quote from the inspiring @khenghua “I am based where good work and good people are. But home? That will always be Singapore.“

上次參加國慶典禮，是二十多年前的事，當時，我還是個中學童子軍，今天，能再次與太太、女兒，以及剛滿十歲的兒子一起參與這個盛事，感觸良多。
這幾年，一直努力追求成為最好的演員，這個旅程將我帶到了台灣。在台灣的歲月，得到了許多寶貴的經驗和友善的包容，我心懷感激，但身在異鄉的孤獨感，也不曾消失。
再次回到新加坡，與27,000人一起在濱海灣為新加坡59歲生日喝采，閱兵典禮時一直忍著淚水，但忍不住內心的感動與澎湃。
謝謝你，新加坡！你給我一顆不曾動搖的心，讓我有一個可以稱為「家」的地方，我永遠珍惜你，你的成就、你的理想，甚至是你不完美的那一面。
