If you asked me one year ago what I thought of these photos, I would have burst into tears because after two miscarriages, I thought my body wasn’t capable of it.
Today, I stare at them over and over because I just can’t believe that’s ME. Sometimes I do double takes in windows or the mirror because I’m still in shock that it’s real. I’ve never been more grateful or more scared in my whole life.
Pregnancy is terrifying and beautiful and weird and so f*cking cool. We actually know so little about how it all works. We can control even less. It is an exercise in faith, whatever that means to you, and letting go. 9 months in, I’m still working on that.
