Kirstie Allsopp Instagram – In March 2014, 3 months after my Mum died, I came to stay with a friend on Harbour Island, in the Bahamas. I knew nothing about the place, it was my first big trip with the boys but no Ben, and they were 5 & 7.
Within 3 days I had made an appointment to see a “real estate agent” 😜 I know the lingo now, and I spent nearly all the money I’d saved from making Locations on a house here. I have never regretted it for a moment, if you’ve ever been lucky another to come to the spot that Tim Peak called “the most beautiful place on earth from space” you will know that the sea is incredible and for someone who loves to swim it is sheer bliss. My children & stepchildren now have an amazing life here and many, many friends. No-one watches my shows or knows anything about my work, I’m just another middle aged Mum.
People often whinge about fame, and half the time it’s rubbish; many of us would not have what we have without the fame, and though it’s a treat to be anonymous sometimes, that should’t stop me sharing this place with those who bother to follow me on Instagram. | Posted on 01/Aug/2024 00:25:36
