We wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to the incredible Lana Parrilla and her amazing fans for their overwhelming support. The Twitter hashtag campaign you organized has truly moved us and given us a renewed sense of energy and purpose. Lana, you are fearless. You’re not just talking about your love for animals; you are in the fight, standing up and speaking out when it matters most. You are the first celebrity to take such a bold stance, and your commitment to this cause is an inspiration to us all. To Lana’s fans, your dedication and passion for both her and the cause are palpable. Together, you’ve shown what a difference we can make when we unite for a common goal. We are more motivated than ever, knowing we have such incredible allies in this journey. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. 🐾 t’s important to acknowledge @misstanwyck contribution to the twitter hashtag campaign! @misstanwyck made the poster, critical to all of our awareness of the campaign in the first place. She provided us something to tweet in advance of the campaign. We think that deserves to be recognized. Shout out to @pniynah21 for reaching out to make sure we added @misstanwyck to our thank you post!! 🐾☀️♥️ We are trying to tag those involved so please shoutout in the comment section! @lanaparrilla ☀️🙏🏼♥️👏🏼 @marinxmurad who came up with this amazing idea for tomorrow 🙏🏼✨ @samanthajeancalberg #lana #nomorewagmor #truth #rescuedogsofinstagram #lanaparilla #lanaparrillafans #lanaparrillamyqueen #brave #loveanimals #investigatewagmor

I know you’ve heard it before: This election is the most important of our lifetime for our planet. I hate to pile on, but it’s true. Climate deniers in the GOP have locked in their commitment to more fossil fuels, more pollution, and more climate chaos. At the same time, people everywhere are rising up with renewed energy and enthusiasm to defend our democracy and protect our planet this November. That’s why on Aug 15, the legendary @JaneFonda @greenpeaceusavotes and @sunrisemvmt are launching the Build, Lead, Win: Climate Action Training 2024! This is an amazing (and free!) opportunity to learn about ways to make a real impact in the lead-up to the election. I’ll be tuning in, and I can’t wait. Please join me! gpusavotes.org/BuildLeadWin24 @greenpeaceusa
ATTENTION ALL DOG LOVERS!!! I’m asking for your help! I made the mistake & trusted @wagmorpets w/ 2 three month old pure bred Toy Poodles that I was trying to help find a good home for. There were a total of 5 puppies. I’ve never been in this position & thought best to reach out to a rescue for help. When I contacted @wagmorpets Melissa Bacelar answered the phone. Once she learn they were pure bred she wanted them ASAP! She sent me to a vet to get them vaccinated and told me to leave them there. She started adopting them out w/o meeting them, w/o them being spayed or neutered, w/o meeting me, w/o any information on where they came from. In the interim I found a foster parent to take them all as two were bonded and I didn’t want to separate them. Melissa was texting me frantically. I told her I already found a foster parent. She said “You have to leave them at the vet! I already found them a home! The people already PAID for them. Am I suppose to give them their money back? You need to leave them there!” I felt super pressured by her so I left two and then I found out who she really is! I need help getting these pups back! Repost from @latimes • Melissa Bacelar moved to Los Angeles about 20 years ago to act in horror films such as “Skinned Alive,” “Pink Eye” and “Zombie Ed.” She didn’t intend to save dogs. But, she took a dog that was chained outside an apartment building in her neighborhood to a local rescue and was inspired to foster. After working as a pet psychic and trying and failing to open a gelato store, she pivoted to selling organic pet food and keeping a few rescues in a small shop on Ventura Boulevard. Soon, celebrity customers got dogs from Wagmor Pets, Bacelar’s rescue group, helping boost its adoption numbers. Wagmor has faced several lawsuits that claimed, among other things, that Wagmore was buying dogs on the cheap from breeders, then misrepresenting them as rescues and charging high adoption fees. Bacelar denies the charges and most of the lawsuits have been settled. But former employees interviewed by The Times echoed the claims. And other rescue groups have cried foul.
