Mandana Karimi Instagram – The other day, someone mentioned how many degrees they have and suggested I should respect them more because of it.
Don’t get me wrong—I have immense respect for those with higher education. In fact, one of my mottos in life is to surround myself with people who are smarter and more successful than I am.🤍
But I was thrust into the University of Life at a young age. Life taught me how to live, how to make friends, how to be true to myself, strong, and independent.
I did take a formal step into design, completing a course at Marangoni Design School and interning at a design firm for a year. But beyond that, my real education came from experience, resilience, and sheer determination.
When people ask about my interior styling credentials, I proudly say I’m self-taught. I sought out my own mentors, traveled, worked hard every single day, and met incredible legends over the past four years.
So, next time you think of undermining me with the privilege of a silver spoon, remember this: I built myself from nothing, with no family, no country, and no safety net. Be aware of a woman who can thrive with nothing. My bravery isn’t something to be taken lightly. 🙏🤍
