The person you are is so luminous,
You fill a room with your light,

But you also got some fight.
Kind of like Eleven from Stranger Things,
Your power goes beyond this earth,
And you’ve got a spooky Upside Down side,
That you’ve had since birth.
Cause honestly you like demogorgons,
And got sad when the Mind Flayer died,
I fear that if Vecna goes in season 5,
You might just sit there and cry.
But you’ll be fine, you’re tough like Max,
You’re not afraid of a little push,
And your bravery rushes the world in a sweep,
Like how in 2022 suddenly everyone knew Kate Bush.
And even though you always call Dustin “Justin,”
And remember Robin’s name, but not Steve,
I’m pretty sure you’re among Stranger Things youngest fans,
A great love for it you have conceived.
And when we play pretend,
Mommy is always Joyce and Daddy is Mike,
And you specifically remember Hopper going into the underground tunnel and getting trapped by vines which was really just a smaller plot point in the greater climactic sequence of season 2, but like really, how do you remember that?
I guess playing pretend is something you like.
But it makes us think about you,
And what’s going on in that mind of yours,
It’s always much more than we can understand,
Cause out of you imagination pours.
Watching you grow these last five years,
Has been one of life’s greatest gifts,
And if you weren’t here to ground us,
To where would we drift?
