The @tsa agent at the screening checkpoint was a rage-consumed person. Rude, sarcastic, and impatient, despite it being late and there being a very short line. The bureaucracy of everything, the endless robots to get to a single human in a far away land on the phone to help, the captchas, the endless passwords and logins and redirects & just hassles that everyone has to go through are so trying to a soul, any soul, simply navigating daily life has become a depressing exercise. it’s enough to make anyone into a monster. I’m truly and deeply hoping that we are about to enter a #newera. One of #kindness & #joy & #empathy & #patience & #curiosity & #decency about, for, & toward one another. It’s prolly just a fantasy.
