Missy Franklin Instagram – I’ve always been more of an experience person than a gift person. When I asked Cait Cait what she wanted for her birthday this year, the one thing she really asked for was to go and get her nails done.
Let me tell you, watching my three year old getting SO excited to pick out her color (her favorite blue, of course💙) sit there as still as possible and be so patient while they dried, almost brought me to tears.
Being a mom and having a daughter is magical in a million ways. But one of my favorites is a child’s ability to make a random Tuesday with no significance whatsoever, one of the most magical days of your life. Getting my nails done with my daughter is something I’ve always dreamt of doing, and I can’t believe I’m actually getting to do it.
Cait Cait, you are pure magic. You’re my best friend. And I can’t believe I’m one of the luckiest people in the world to have a front row seat to your life.
