060 NIKI’S CALAMANSI CONDENSED COCONUT RIPPLE
In celebration of @nikizefanya ‘s new album, Buzz , we have collaborated on an @enjoy.awan flavor drop inspired by her childhood. As we discussed ideas Niki recalled one of her favorite food memories growing up – eating condensed milk straight out of the jar. The sugary dense liquid typically is used as an ingredient in desserts such as pies, puddings, cookies and tres leche cakes. On its own it’s quite indulgent with a lingering sweet cream flavor that’s undeniably delicious. To balance its intensity we thought to ripple it through something fresh and Niki suggested another favorite, the Calamansi. It’s a perfect pair as this citrus is quite tart but lightly sweet with floral aromas of naval orange and lime. We made a base from fresh Calamansi by JJ Lone Daughters Ranch infused with our Balinese vanilla beans. Afterwards we added additional fresh lime juice and rippled in the silky sweet condensed coconut. The result is balanced, creamy and refreshingly summery. The perfect dessert to enjoy while listening to the new album Buzz, which released today.
