Rachel Van Dyken Instagram – Our 15th wedding anniversary was celebrated miles away. Nate was fighting fires, couldn’t get to me, I had to cancel a signing, and had all the kids while trying to keep the fort down and work.
Tonight we went out and did a late celebration (a few weeks late) and were so blessed by the sweetest couple.
They had no tables but said hey if you’re cool with it you can sit at the end of their table and we were like, deal. We have no kids and we get a meal. Both of us would have sat on the floor and said thank you 😂 Anyways this couple was also celebrating their anniversary. They’ve been married 66 years. They were so sweet and I kept thinking we should pay their tab. Fast forward to them getting up and letting us know we were in charge of the tip after paying our bill and congratulating us on fifteen years.
Not gonna lie, it’s been a horrendous year so I promptly burst into tears all over strangers. She reminded me of Grandma Nadine and even the server had to walk away bc she started getting emotional. All in all, a wonderful night. I’m so thankful for genuinely sweet people. They made us promise another fifteen years. We said yes. ❤️ | Posted on 17/Aug/2024 09:48:46
