Ruhanika Dhawan Instagram – On June 18, my mom jetted off for her chaar dham yatra; unfortunately, I couldn’t go with her due to upcoming examinations. However, despite all the chatter about the climate conditions and the unfortunate natural calamities that have occurred at Kedarnath, mom brushed it off and moved forward with a positive mindset. Although I wasn’t physically present, she managed to video call me from every pilgrimage, ensuring that I was there, if not physically, but virtually. I think it’s safe to say that I’ve completed my char dham virtually. Despite helicopters being available, mom chose to walk all the way up to Kedarnath, and boy was it a breathtaking view! Despite Mom being surrounded by majestic mountains, there was another sight that was much more eye-catching, which was the view of the thousands of pilgrims, some of them disabled, taking the energy and efforts to walk all the way up. To me, that was eye-opening, and I think that is spirituality in its truest form, and this can only be attained with faith in the almighty. Another eye-opening sight to me was that in this ever-evolving and diversifying world, there’s unity amongst all the pilgrims, once again proving the power that God holds.
