Saira Khan Instagram – What I am seeing and reading about in the Uk is Far Right Extremist Terrorists – there is no excuse for this behaviour.
You cannot call “Brown/ Black” people “terrorists”and “white” people “thugs” if they carry out the same violence and hate to innocent people in our country.
We are dealing with “terrorists”. The politicians need to call it what it is and stop being divisive, ignorant and weak cowards.
Call it what it is!! No excuses or justifications.
As a British born woman of colour it is my duty to speak up and hold politicians accountable.
I have called out Islamic terrorists on national TV and in the press when I was working in that field. I was told by my TV colleagues at the time ,” why don’t more people from your community call this out”.
Now I’m asking my white media colleagues the same question …. Is it terrorism? Why aren’t people from your community in the public eye calling it out?
I can see good ordinary people coming out and standing for peace in their streets – but the “chat show” conversations seem to fuel the fire of racism, prejudice and division.
