Saiyami Kher Instagram – Ghoomer released on this day a year ago and my heart is filled with memories and gratitude. This film isn’t just a project; it’s a chapter of my life etched deeply into my soul. A lot of blood, sweat and toil goes into every film. This wasn’t any different – lost a few toe nails, got many bruises and cuts. But I never felt an ounce of pain because of the love I got on this set. I look at the marks left on my left hand and smile because it takes me back to the most fulfilling experience I have had in life..
Ghoomer was 40 days of complete satisfaction as an actor. Balki sir set out with complete conviction to tell a story he really wanted to, gathered a bunch of people who were all on the same page. Everybody worked tirelessly to make the best film we could.
Not having a fulfilling day on shoot is more painful for me than pulling out my nails. Of course there will be bad days at work, but Ghoomer was an exception – there wasn’t one bad day for me. I hated listening to the words ‘Pack Up’ on this set. We laughed, cried, ate, filmed, fought Covid, played cricket all together like one happy family.
I have been longing since to work on another set like Ghoomer where I’m given so much to play with as an actor. The wait has been long, but this film has taught me that there no place for self pity.
