Santhy Balachandran Instagram – A little shout out and a whole lot of love to @alexanderkaleekal for making me this beautiful dress I wore to the opening night of LIFF, and the delicate overlay I wore to our second screening. The dress had a simple and elegant cut that is surprisingly hard to get right, with lovely sheer panels along the sleeves and the sides that added a special something to the fit. The organza overlay had a sculptural quality to it and was like a life-sized origami puzzle that took me two days to figure out. I guess one has to earn the right to wear an original @kaleekal š¤ I paired it with a basic crop top and black trousers from Uniqlo.
Alan was the costume designer of Ennennum, and wearing his designs to the festival felt like a full circle moment. Thank you for making me clothes that felt like me while still pushing me out of my comfort zone, Alan š
