✨ Had the best pho in my life at Pho Vietnam
I tried 3 different popular pho in HCM but this one is the best! Even the cakwe is just out of this world. When you look at it on gmaps, this is the address 14 Phạm Hồng Thái, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam 🍜
✨ In summer, bougenville is blooming and you can spot some of it on the streets 🌺
✨ Despite Vietnam’s history of communism, there are a lot of churches around the city. Some of it are Huyen si Church, Notre Dame Saigon, and the most popular pink church – Tan Dinh Church ⛪️
✨ Vietnam is popular for its coffee. I tried a lot of different coffees such as Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, Pho coffee, egg coffee, and coconut coffee. One of the most popular coffee shops across the city is Katinat Cafe. Price per coffee is around 40.000 viet dong or 25.000 IDR ☕️
✨ I am surprised that the limes in Vietnam is as big as some oranges in Indonesia. Vietnamese cuisine use a lot of herbs, greens, and lime. I love how it gives citrusy tangy flavor that’s refreshing 🍋🟩
✨ Always make time for a cafe with a view and this time it’s Cong Cafe across the Pink Church. I think this is one of the most iconic landmark of Ho Chi Minh. You can either take pictures outside or inside the church, or just adore it from a rooftop cafe like me 🥂
✨ I dropped my 700.000 viet dong cash at a Pho Restaurant when I was about to put it inside my bag. I had my hotel called the restaurant with little hope that it’s going to return because it’s cash, and this is not Japan. But to my surprise, they returned the call and told me they found it! 😱 And another case about money, I paid a street seller for a coconut 20.000, and I gave 2 x 10.000. But turns out it’s 100.000 and 10.000. The seller told me it’s wrong and he returned the money to me. My faith in humanity is restored a bit from this 🫶🏻
