Last night @bigkickenergypod won Sports Podcast of the Year at The Sports Broadcast Awards. I can’t bloody believe it. I absolutely love making this show with my brilliant co host and friend @maisieadam and have totally fallen in love with women’s football. It’s amazing to have a new hobby in your 30’s. Women’s football is such an exciting, friendly and inclusive place that is so full of exceptional talent and I love being able to chat and learn more about it every week with my Goosey expert. Big thank you to Mob and Ish at Vibrant for making the show and always encouraging our ideas. Also big thanks to everyone who listens to the show! Maisie is currently lionessing in Mexico and last night I was doing my tour show in Basingstoke (both glamorous actually) so sadly we couldn’t attend the award, luckily Maisie’s husband and mum were there to represent Big Kick and pick up the award for us. James has recently became the Chaplin and lead faith advisor at The University of Sussex making him the first Humanist Chaplin at any UK university ever. A storyteller, thinker, teacher and activist who inspires people to define their values, reimagine their future and make change happen. I found this conversation fascinating and full of heart.
