My family was eating dinner with out-of-town friends in Mandalay Bay when the shooting began. My sister was attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival and ran for her life. In the days, weeks, and months that followed, the city came together and supported each other in big and small ways. On this day, we remember the lives lost and the overwhelming support neighbor gave to neighbor. ⁠
