Some say that Radha didnโt open her eyes, ever since she was born, until the moment Krishna came in front of her. From the moment I heard that story, I have wondered what the beginning of their love must be like. Was it something destined & yet also chosen. It was something that grew, so it certainly must have had a beginning.
Was it, perhaps, at the ghats beside the Yamuna, as Krishna flung from the trees, hid in the foliage to find the right moment to play his prank?
Or was it when she heard his flute the first time, and while everything else stood still – air, water, living beings – one could hear Radhaโs heart racing?
