I am soft, both inside and out, and I love deeply—sometimes too much. As a true Cancer, I feel most at home in the water, especially in the sea of my ancestors. My father’s family is Sicilian, and being in these waters was a deeply healing experience. Being surrounded by the incredible women on this trip, who I now proudly call friends, was a gift. We didn’t let our bodies or others’ perceptions of us dim the beauty of this day. That’s what love truly is—not just the butterflies or the first hand-hold, but showing up as you are and being met with understanding and care. Knowing that our bodies are just one small part of the amazing people we are.
