Serves 4-5
Steaks:
2# top sirloin steak, about 1-inch thick, at room temperature
Kosher salt
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 thyme sprigs
Sauce:
2 tbsp olive oil
1# assorted sliced mushrooms,
1/2 cup bourbon
2 cup cup beef stock
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp honey
2/3 cup half and half
