Tiya Sircar Instagram – Omgomgomg. I did it! I made it to The Shire! As a lifelong fan of J.R.R. Tolkien (I know, I know, nerd alert! 🚨😂), this visit was such a treat. If you find yourself on the North Island of New Zealand and you’re a fan of The Hobbit/L.O.T.R, do yourself a favor and visit #Hobbiton. Take the tour and absolutely do splurge on the Evening Banquet option (served in The Green Dragon, no less! 😊). The food was delish and the whole experience was just 🤌🏽🤌🏽. Added bonus: very little light pollution in and around Matamata, NZ so on a clear night, you can catch a glimpse of the Milky Way and see constellations like Scorpio and the Southern Cross which was super neat for a Northern Hemisphere gal like me. ✨ All in all, two enthusiastic thumbs up. 👍🏽👍🏽
