Valentine Thomas Instagram – Well, through the years, I spent a lot of time in school. I graduated in Human Sciences (psychology), law school, a master in law, Juris Doctor. Culinary school was always on my mind though. When I found out I was pregnant, I thought, oh well, I guess now it’s time! As I progressed through my culinary journey those past years, I always had a touch of imposter syndrome in the back of my head. Are you a real chef without going to culinary school? I don’t even know. With 7 months done and 5 more to go, I’m excited to finally get my « real cred » on top of my street cred! I honestly have learned so much more from working along side incredible chefs all over the country, doing pop-ups for my book, but a little piece of paper never hurt anyone.
This wasn’t meant to be a « follow your dreams » post, but screw it, do whatever makes you happy. For me, it’s always been and always will be in a kitchen getting my hands dirty 👩🏻🍳 Apart from peeling potatoes. Peeling potatoes can go F itself.
