Langston Hues Instagram - Yesterday @utarihues and I delivered our first child, a beautiful boy name Ibrahim Clark Langston. Unfortunately, he couldn't survive and today we held his Janazah. Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. We plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners. May Ibrahim be our Shafie when the hour is established. May Allah grant him jannah al-firdous. We may never understand the things that happen to us in this life and the life to come and it breaks my heart to experience this, but with everything Alhamdulillah ala kuli hal. Please keep my family in your Doa'. JazakAllah Khair 🤲🏾

He's taught me about the frailty and temporary nature of life. He taught me about the might, love, and priority of God. Today, like other children born December 16, 2022 - He should be 1 year old, but he's not. In turn he taught me about the illusion of time. He taught me about empathy, and how to resonate with a Palestinian father that loses a child. He taught me patience and the ability to accept God's decree. He taught me that's there's a greater destination even if we think that this world is all there is. If I wrote down all that he has taught me, I'd finish the ink in the pen before I've finished the lessons he's taught. April 11 - My wife and I spent the second day of Eid overnight in the hospital because we lost what would have been our 2nd child to miscarriage. There's nothing we can do about that. April 12 - My dear friend @melijoker222 sent me a message at 10:30pm requesting my help, she exclaimed that she was depressed and wanted to kill herself. Unfortunately, I was sleeping at the time and wouldn't be able to catch her message until 3:00am. I don't know if my words would have changed anything for her I can only imagine it may have, but my words were too late. It would only be a couple hours after she messaged me that she would take her own life on Instagram live. There was nothing I was able to do. April 21 - Our dear brother Dan would be senselessly, viciously, and mercilessly beaten nearly to death in an unprovoked attack. Leaving him incoherent and in fear of brain damage. He required immediate life saving medical attention to reconstruct his skull & remove fluid from his brain. He is currently in ICU, and we can only pray and hope that he will be the same after he's received all the medical care that's required. Unlike the other incidents, there's something we can still do. Unfortunately, he couldn't survive and today we held his Janazah. Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. We plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners. May Ibrahim be our Shafie when the hour is established. May Allah grant him jannah al-firdous. We may never understand the things that happen to us in this life and the life to come and it breaks my heart to experience this, but with everything Alhamdulillah ala kuli hal. Unfortunately, I was sleeping at the time and wouldn't be able to catch her message until 3:00am. April 11 - My wife and I spent the second day of Eid overnight in the hospital because we lost what would have been our 2nd child to miscarriage. There's nothing we can do about that. April 12 - My dear friend @melijoker222 sent me a message at 10:30pm requesting my help, she exclaimed that she was depressed and wanted to kill herself. Unfortunately, I was sleeping at the time and wouldn't be able to catch her message until 3:00am. I don't know if my words would have changed anything for her I can only imagine it may have, but my words were too late. It would only be a couple hours after she messaged me that she would take her own life on Instagram live. There was nothing I was able to do. April 21 - Our dear brother Dan would be senselessly, viciously, and mercilessly beaten nearly to death in an unprovoked attack. Leaving him incoherent and in fear of brain damage. He required immediate life saving medical attention to reconstruct his skull & remove fluid from his brain. He is currently in ICU, and we can only pray and hope that he will be the same after he's received all the medical care that's required. Unlike the other incidents, there's something we can still do.
