Nevertheless family courts across the world continue to threaten (and hand out!) jail sentences for not adhering to family court orders ( not criminal – family) irrespective of how this affects the children. Rachel spent two weekends in jail for missing a court ordered Reunification Session. Her kids had to stay with family. This should NEVER happen and thank god for @onemomsbattle, @fortitudeflourishdenver and all the other activists who helped get her sentence overturned.
It’s hard to understand if you haven’t been through it. But when you know you know.
