This past week of motherhood has taught me that it’s very easy to neglect everything and have tunnel vision on your child and nothing else, especially when everything is so new.

But I try to take a pause and remind myself that it’s okay to take a step back and take time for yourself and the people around you once in a while, to do things that fulfill other aspects of your life.

Yes, I am a mother now. But I’m more than just a mother.
