Birthdays are bittersweet for many adoptees. I don’t know what day or time I was born, how much I weighed, where I was born. I wasn’t left with a name so the name on my pic was made up by the adoption agency. It’s weird being an adoptee. It’s hard a lot of the time. I do love celebrating my birthday because I don’t take my time on this planet for granted. But my birthday always makes me wonder about what happened to me all those years ago in Korea and will I ever know the truth?
