We lost my grandfather when I was in junior school—the only time I ever saw my mother cry like a child. I remember sitting beside her as she lay in bed, trying to comfort her. It took her a while to find her footing again. With my dad away on work trips, she wiped her tears and carried on, making sure we were cared for. I often wonder how she managed to be so strong through it all.
Today, my mom gave me that same bangle. To me, it feels like Thor is handing over his strombreaker.
It’s the most precious piece of jewelry I own, not just for its value, but for the love and strength it represents.
