Returning home to do press for @thelostholliday was divine.

For the last 2 years the thought of coming home has been triggering since my grandmother’s passing. She was the person I always saw when I came home. This is my first time coming home without her presence physically here, to promote an incredible film I had the honor to be apart of. A film about death, grief, family, and love. What a divine homecoming. 🥹

I got to share this moment with so many beautiful people, including family, friends, and colleagues. I made new connections and ran into familiar faces I knew when I was younger. I love being home, absorbing where I am from , sharing what I love to do with loving people to promote art about love. What a blessing. My heart is so full from sharing this moment with the DMV and to share it with my family.

To my Lost Holliday Family, Thank you @jabariredd for saying my name in a room I wasn’t present in. Your words speak magic. Thank you for speaking magic upon me .You trusted your own magic @jussiesmollett, thank you for saying YES and giving me the opportunity to experience it. I love being a sister to you, on and off screen. @msvfox , you are magical and truly an icon. I love learning from you and laughing with you. I’m so honored to have experienced your brilliance, grace, and many talents. Thank you @avianpr for having me apart of this. I’m grateful we got to share this full circle moment together (look how far we’ve come isn’t it magical? 🥹🙏🏾) Thank you @ceoazarel and @boutiquehush for all the work you do in making it all possible, for creating all the magic for so many of us. I adore you all.

Thank you @justcuriouspoe for your genuine love and for having us on @wpgc. I’m still shocked I was on the same radio station I grew up listening to. 🤯😩🙌🏾 It was a surprising pleasure to be on @fox5dc as well and I definitely enjoyed myself at the premiere at the MLK library. @drdavidjohns, you hosted an incredible talk back after the premiere. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
