Britt and I made a quick stop to grab some essentials for Mia and for the house. We found some quick grab n go’s, some healthy options and managed to get a few reviews in that ya’ll requested.

Important to note when it comes to fruit: fructose when it’s in fruit isn’t bad for us. The fiber forms a latticework along the walls of the intestines and prevents the absorption of the fructose into the intestinal cells.

However, the fructose we find in packaged foods is made from dextrose ( which is very close to glucose) which in turn is made from corn starch using a process called corn wet milling. There is a refinement process and the resulting product that we see in process foods causes separation of the tight junctions of cells that make up our intentional walls. This allows the sewage in our intestines to leach into the rest of our bodies.

Is a small amount dangerous? Not really. It’s the continual consumption and the fact that fructose runs rampant in many packed foods that leads higher amounts in our diet.

The less overall ingestion, unless it comes directly from fruit, the better for longevity.
