The heroes of that day… I remember volunteering serving meals to first responders just days after. It was one of the most memorable days of my life.

I remembered where I was and I remember how I felt. The beauty that came of this insurmountable loss and tragedy is that we were connected. We were connected to every life lost and mourned publicly, held each other with a knowing.
