Iskra Lawrence Instagram – I nearly didn’t go ahead with my baby sprinkle I had so many doubts… do I have time? do I have the budget? will my busy gfs be able to make it? am I being too extra I had a shower 4.5 years ago for my son
But I needed this.
My son kept saying so baby sister is arriving at the sprinkle (to which I replied I certainly hope not 😅) but I explained it’s a chance for mommy to be surrounded by her girls friends who I probably wont get to see for a while and it’s a reminder that I have such an incredible group of friends who love and support me
And that’s exactly why it was all so so worth it, yes it was a celebration of baby girl arriving soon but it felt like a celebration of community and it really was the reminder I needed before going into this postpartum season that I am not alone and that I can and should ask for help and can lean on these incredible humans and it doesn’t have to be like 2020 where I just moved to Texas during a pandemic and lost all my work and sense of self – this time it feels so very different and it’s because of this magical village
I couldn’t ask for a more loving, kind and caring group of friends love you all and thank you for being there for me not just at the sprinkle but whenever I need yall – love you all 💕🫶🏼✨
