Jade Tailor Instagram – Reflecting on another year, another birthday come and gone, another year of lessons learned. So here are just a few things I will be taking with me into this coming year…
1. How someone else feels about you and treats you is a reflection of them more so than a reflection of you. So hold up a mirror and don’t take things others say or do personally.
2. Love doesn’t always feel like sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes or often times it will also be painful and scary to entrust someone with something so deeply precious. Allow yourself to lean in and find both the light and the shadow in it. Love will both light the way, illuminating a path to the heart and also show you all the obstacles in its way.
3. Trust in the divine. Even in the most painful of moments in life… remember life is not happening to you, it’s happening FOR you.
4. People will come and go from your life… those that are meant to stay will, and those who aren’t, won’t. You don’t want fairweather people in your life. You want the ride or die folks that can love you through it all, just as you love them.
5. Continuation of 4… nourish that which nourishes you.
