It’s true! Jane has often commented that chimpanzees are too similar to humans — complex, with both good and bad sides to them — for her to consider them her favorite animal. But dogs like Rusty (shown here) have been great teachers to Jane, showing the intelligence and empathy that other animals possess 💚
🐾 Dogs have a remarkable way of cheering us up! In fact, when asked what keeps her going through her busiest days in a 2019 interview with @fastcompany , Jane replied: “Precious moments when I can have a quick walk in nature. I always hope to meet and greet a dog, get a ‘dog fix’ — any old dog whose owner agrees.”
