Janette Manrara Instagram – There are a couple things with this video.

1. It’s a year since I gave birth to Lyra and it is only now that I feel strong enough to do some proper weightlifting once again, and still less weight than I was lifting before I became pregnant. I focused a lot more on my dancing and being physically capable for the shows that I had, but I am so excited to be gaining my strength again. We each have our unique paths. Slow and steady for me was the best way. 💪🏼

2. Yes I have an end goal to gain my strength back however being at the gym gives me some time to work on “me“ which allows me to be a better mother to Lyra. Mentally and emotionally I need to go to the gym and move, stretch, breathe in order to be the best version of myself for her. I’m not dancing at the moment and I miss it terribly, so going to the gym and moving lifts my spirits immensely 🙏🏼

There are days that are easier than others to get to the gym, but I always remind myself how good I feel as soon as I start moving. Whatever moving looks like for you, there’s no right or wrong way as long as we’re moving and being physically and mentally stimulated. | Posted on 13/Aug/2024 16:30:00
