It Seems like yesterday I was in a restaurant in Mexico watching Olympic Fútbol while going over lines with the legend Edward James Olmos for the Film “Go For Sisters” by incredible John Sayles.This project has special meaning to me as a week before this picture I had handed over some keys and cut ties to an old life knowing it was time to start again…. Again, towards the life I wanted. I quit my job, got on a plane and never looked back. I am thankful to Señor Olmos and all the other well established actors, musicians, writers, directors, engineers, teachers, composers, and artists etc who have treated me with kindness and respect and chose to share their time and secrets with me to help me learn and improve my skills as well as supporting and encouraging me to do more. They taught me how to treat young and up and coming artists. Take them under your wing and treat them as peers, as an asset and not competition. Be their cheerleaders expecting nothing in return. I am also thankful to the very small handful of people, some of whom I once looked up to, who treated me poorly and showed me just what a bad look pettiness, jealousy and insecurity is. Lesson learned.
