Jessica Yellin Instagram – KERRY WASHINGTON ON SEXISM IN POLITICS
I spoke with actress and activist Kerry Washington @kerrywashington at the DNC last week. Washington, who hosted one night of the 2024 convention, also worked to try to get Hillary Clinton elected in 2016.
I asked her – after working to support Clinton and Biden in past cycles – whether she thinks the Harris campaign learned any lessons from Clinton’s bid for the presidency. And, whether they are combatting sexism in new ways, or if she’s noticed a change in campaign styles since Clinton ran for president.
Her answer: we the people have changed.
