The theme for this weekend’s workshop has been finalized! We will be painting the Japanese cherry tart from Foundry!
In Japan, you primarily see two types of cherrys- American Cherries which are sweet and dark and Japanese cherries or “sakuranbo” which are slightly brighter and have interesting gradations of color from yellow to light red/pink. We are nearing the end of cherry season, but since my favorite tart shop “Foundry” has a Japanese cherry tart through June, I decided to use it as the subject for my watercolor workshop this weekend 6/29 from 1pm! I will be holding it in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and while the primary language will be in Japanese, I will translating into English as I go, too! We still have a few spots open.
