Kailene Falls Instagram – FOOD ART MONTHLY CHALLENGE: Fusion Food

For this monthโs challenge, I decided to feature a dish that I painted for a private client: Japanese Curry. Curry has had an interesting history in Japan. Originating in India, it was brought to England where it eventually made its way over to Japan. Japanese curry is sweeter and milder than most curries you find in India, and it is often topped with other โfusion foodsโ like fried cutlet (A Japanese take on the French fried steak.)
At the end of the slides, I attached the photo I received of the curry from the client. As you can see, I tried to remain true to the original content while altering the angle and layout to be more aesthetically pleasing!
