This is what it’s all about… 🥹 To see Sofia stand up on stage and talk about how The Lindsey Vonn Foundation has helped her to fulfil her ambitions as a ski racer was amazing. Sofia has done an amazing job as our ambassador this year, helping pass down this inspiration to those younger than her, helping them work towards their dreams when they otherwise might not have had the opportunity. It’s these stories that make all the hard work worthwhile and keep the Foundation going. We are so proud not just of Sofia but of all the amazing young women who got up to speak on stage and share their story. A huge thanks also to the countless others who have been a part of the Foundation’s work over the past year too.
It’s been 2 years without my Mom…. I miss her every day… but especially today. Today I cried a little less than last year… I’m learning how to hold on to our memories together tighter I watched some Law and Order and am going to have an ice cream for desert, just like she would have wanted. My boy has cancer… I got home from Paris and noticed some lumps that had formed around his lymph nodes and I took him in to the vet right away. Unfortunately we got a diagnosis of lymphoma. Leo is already on Chemo and is responding well. He’s a bit tired and he doesn’t know what’s happening but he’s still a happy boy. It’s been a tough few weeks and I’ve been trying not to not let my emotions show but I need to say it out loud to process it…. Leo is my first dog, he’s been with me for the past 11 years and I can’t even begin to think about life without him. Going to spend as much time with him as I can and support him in all of his treatments over the coming months. BUT he’s a strong boy and we will do everything we can to beat this 💪🏻🙏🏻 ….if I’m a little off… you know why.
