1) For all my Pearl Clutchers out there, dude landed on his feet and he walked it off so no one is making fun of anyone’s pain.
2) speaking of walking it off … that walk off is great for #emotional management. You’ve always got to take a pause for the cause of allowing those fight or flight chemicals to rush your system before you rush over to whatever caused you a problem.
3) Does he have the right to be annoyed? Absolutely, dude just walked off the job, mind completely elsewhere. The question is how do we respond?
We could respond with an attack and go for old boy with great gusto. After all your emotions are telling you to do something and old dude is in fact the source of his troubles.
Or …
We can let the upset wash through us and ebb while remembering the last time our own imperfect behinds blew a call. I know how bad I feel when I unintentionally hurt others as a function of my inattention.
Or
If you belong to a religion that teaches forgiveness you could go ahead and do that.
The ease and energy of our emotional eruptions these days is everyone’s obligation to address because it’s going to everybody’s problem if we don’t.
