Maha Hasan Instagram – My first exposure to eastern classical music was when I was I think 10 years old. As always, it was my passionate mother who drove me around to satiate my desire to learn new stuff. However, real learning started when I became a student of Ashvini Modak Jee. It’s been 3.5 years of learning with her and I can’t tell you all how wonderful it has been.
I am singing Raag Bageshri here. I love the sweetness of this raag. It’s one of my absolute favourite. Also, I am improvising here, which basically means creating music on spot while staying in the boundaries of the raag. It is so, so creatively fulfilling and gratifying. Isn’t music the loveliest of all arts?
