Millicent Simmonds Instagram – Please read🙂 I get so many messages from Deaf kids saying how lucky I am that my family learned sign, and how alone they feel. This breaks my heart and shouldn’t happen. I still can’t communicate with family that never learned and that’s their decision. It’s ok. I’m still considered one of the lucky ones because my parents, siblings and a few other family members have learned my language. If you have a Deaf family member or child, PLEASE learn #asl it’s a beautiful language. Contact the deaf center in your state and a lot of them have free classes. Communication is so important!
