Nafessa Williams Instagram – A True Story and a little inspo:
Out of all the schools I applied to, Delaware State University was the only school that accepted me. Up until 8th grade I was an honor roll student but in high school I gave very average. My SAT scores were low and I started to think my college dreams might not happen. BUT, thank God for Del State, they made me feel seen and gave me a chance.
Now fast forward I’m in @delstateuniv and I promised myself to kill it academically. My first semester I was on the Deans list and by my third semester I was on the Presidents list (straight A’s baybeee). I transferred to West Chester University so I can get in state tuition and ended up graduating early with all honors… Cum Laude! The plan was to go to Law school and I told myself we’re getting a free ride with these grade but yall already know how that went!
If you’re 17 and feeling like you screwed up in High School, don’t give up. There’s still time to prove yourself right! Cause now you can’t tell me NOTHING! 💅🏾 #DSU #Hornet #HBCU
