It was such a pleasure to have a moment to take these photos this past winter – it was one of the hardest winters of our adult lives – and parenting through it was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
I see my partner in these photos, just being the brilliant dad that he is – yet I see his grief. I see the weight and I feel it every day.
I can’t imagine loosing any of my sisters, I never imagined loosing my brother in law so soon. I felt like we were just getting to know each other for real.
I want to share this today as a reminder that you don’t see everything on social media. Even when the pictures come out with similes and sunny skies – the everyday reality might not always align with what you see.
So please be gentle with one another.
Remember to tell your people you love them. Hold them close. Forgive.
