Sophia Bush Instagram – I had the privilege of growing up in a community centered around the arts. The 80’s in LA meant a community that was queer, of color, made up of immigrants, and filled with joyful humans that made art, both for work and with their presence in rooms, in front of cameras, in kitchens, and on stages. In a way, I’ve followed in their footsteps. As a performer. A young marcher for rights. A lifelong advocate for equality. An ally. A community member myself.
And now a decade after I used my creative skills to help a major brand launch their American e-commerce site with a t-shirt I designed to celebrate LOVE and to benefit the HRC I am *officially* joining the board of the @HumanRightsCampaign. Nothing has ever felt more right, or more fated.
I am so honored to work alongside this incredible team. To follow in the footsteps of the leaders who have come before me, and who have fought tooth and nail for our rights. And to continue to work to make this incredible nation and beautiful world more equitable and more welcoming and more safe for everyone. This announcement is fresh, but the history for me?
