Kamala Harris is responsible for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 13 of our servicemembers. She cared so little about them that she did not show up for the Gold star families during the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base, or at Arlington Cemetery on the anniversary of their death. She has never called these families or apologized to them for the loss of their loved ones.

As we remember and honor those who were killed in the Islamist attacks on 9/11, and the first responders who put their lives on the line to save others, it’s important to remember that the radical Islamist ideology that motivated this tragic attack remains the greatest short and long-term threat to our country and world. It is the same ideology that motivates Islamist terrorists Hamas, al-Qaeda, Boko Haram, Al-Shabab and more. We need a President who understands this threat and is committed to defeating it to defend our freedom and keep the American people safe.

A year ago today, historic wildfires ripped through Maui, destroying over 2,000 structures and taking 102 lives. One year has gone by, and many families remain displaced. True accountability for the many failures that led to this tragedy, and the failure in the response, has yet to occur. The underlying issues that led to this still need to be addressed.
