Thank you @lvmh @moetchandon for helping me activate this core memory and early bday gift for my pops! (82 years young!!). We sat in the club suite and saw some of his faves play! My dad was the one who introduced me to tennis. He was a former player in Nigeria and summers in our Maryland house were spent watching CNN, Jeopardy, and Wimbledon. At first I resisted… (because I wanted to watch cartoons and this was the cable box era!), but when I started playing tennis in high school, it became OUR thing. Tennis bonded us, so this was a beautiful full circle moment for both of us.

Surely Celine was not to be left out or upstaged! She required glam (and even left it on—lashes and all—for the steam room the next day! Good thing Black don’t crack. 🫣).

They had the full NYC experience, walking Time Square, shopping, @usopen, luxury spa treatments, brunches, dinner, kickin it in Central Park… I think I’m more exhausted than they are!! Grateful that at 73 & 82, they’re still healthy, strong and engaged to savor these moments! A true blessing.

Moral of the story: I NEED A HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER LIKE ME!! cuzzz bayybbeee, even the Credit card was like, “Sis, you good?!” lol
