Adjoa Andoh Instagram – In Warsaw today celebrating Bridgerton season 3 with my brilliant friend Claudia Jessie. But also.. on this 6th of June – on the 80th Anniversary, remembering all the men women and children whose lives were impacted as we think back to the unimaginable courage & resilience in the pursuit of freedom, as King Charles reflected, of our families, neighbours & loved ones 80 years ago and look with grief at our present in 2024 – Ukraine/ Yemen/ Sudan/ Israel- Palestine . I think of the extraordinary Rudolph Vrba née Walter Rosenberg & Alfred Wetzler, the first Jews to escape from Aushwitz to warn Hungarian Jews & the wider world of the industrialised genicide of Jewish people awaiting them at Auschwitz – & the annihilation of Jews, anti fascists , Romanies, people of colour , disabled people, LGBTQ people. Today, In 2024, in Poland, we remember & hold fiercely to the Solidarity & the blessed connection of humanity that all tyrants & dictators fear. Human relationship & love is our super power. God bless all those adults & children across Africa, the Commonwealth, Europe, Asia & The Americas who screwed their courage to the sticking place for our security & future wellbeing. Thank you Grandad George, thank you Grandad Jim,thank you Uncle Eric & Rudolph & Alfred &&&&&. It is our duty & our privilege to sustain & honour the freedom so hard won by so many for us…♥️🙏🏾
