Anaika Soti Instagram – Every year, there are approximately 31,000 females r*ped in India. This number does not even take into account the unregistered cases which will be much much higher.
On Aug 9, a female doctor was r*ped and m*rdered ruthlessly inside the premises of RG Kar Medical College.
There is a high possibility that this could be a gang r*pe and a lot of high profile people are doing their best to destroy all evidence and protect the r*pists.
Our society has normalised that females can’t go out alone at night. A society where a lot of men think it is okay to catcall, eve tease or keep staring at a female in public.
We recently celebrated Independence Day, but all of us had just one question, ARE WE REALLY INDEPENDENT?
We will be celebrating Raksha Bandhan today where we will be swearing to protect our sisters. She also had a brother. Imagine the state of his heart today. We have failed countless sisters.
We have monsters roaming amongst us. The politicians give speeches about women’s safety, but then the same politicians let r*pists out on parole and the state government trying to protect the perpetrators in the Kolkata case.
Justice is needed. Punish the ones who did it and punish the ones trying to save them.
